Module 2, Lesson 8

This module was more challenging than the first. The content was less familiar and the work products required more time and effort. I got a lot out of creating things like the doodle notes and the graphic organizer. It was helpful to actually go through the steps of creating in the same way that my students do. I can now predict difficult parts of each project reliably and help guide students through them.

I'm excited to learn more about taking imprints. Collecting imprints will be easy to do because I go to forest areas on a regular basis. The most surprising part of this lesson was the doodle notes. I had high anxiety about the doodle note project because I have little drawing skill. It ended up being my favorite part of the module.

Even though I am a music teacher, there is some enrichment time planned into my schedule each day. This would be an ideal time to introduce students to some of the concepts presented in this module.
