The idea behind my dispersal method is not to reinvent the wheel - plenty of seeds are already dispersed through animal feces naturally. We can create a tasty treat that contains seeds and use that to disperse seeds far and wide. My example used a dog but birds might be an even better choice because of their wide habitat range.
My students will require a lot of direction in this activity. They tend to get caught up in the details of the moment and forget the bigger picture. I'd have to set clear timing boundaries because their projects often take much longer than I anticipated.
