The dichotomous key reminded me of a choose your own adventure book. I was able to adapt the activity to make it accessible to my lower elementary students. I used common names instead of scientific ones and I used indicators that could be seen or felt without a microscope. Most of my students have some kind of animal life in their home so this activity could work for them.
